Junior Development
Junior Development refers to those athletes who are 9 to 13 years old as December 31 of the year of competition. British Columbia has a highly developed program for athletes of these ages. The programs are designed to train and develop young athletes in the sport of athletics.

Younger athletes do not compete in the longer races and do not throw the more dangerous implements. Full details may be obtained from the BC Athletics website at www.bcathletics.org
